Debt payoff calculator
How this is calculated
Each month, interest is added to every debt at its annual rate divided by 12, and every debt receives its minimum payment. The extra payment goes to one target debt: the smallest balance under snowball, the highest rate under avalanche. When a debt is paid off, its minimum payment is added to what the target receives.
Minimum payments stay at the amounts entered. Card issuers usually lower the minimum as the balance falls.
